Creating a thing
- Open Ente Locker
- Tap the + button
- Select Thing
- Fill in the fields:
- Name: Document name (e.g., "Passport", "House Deed")
- Location: Where it's stored (e.g., "Home safe, top drawer")
- Notes: Any other relevant information (optional)
- Select one or more collections
- Tap Save

Location tracking
Record specific storage locations with as much detail as you need:
- "Filing cabinet, second drawer, folder labeled 'Tax 2024'"
- "Bank safe deposit box #142"
- "Fireproof safe in basement"
Multiple locations
If you have copies of a document in different places, note all locations in the notes field or create separate entries for each copy.
Expiration reminders
Add expiration dates in the notes field for documents like passports, driver's licenses, or insurance policies.
Organization tips
- Group by type: Create collections like "Identity Documents", "Property", "Financial"
- Include access info: Note if someone else has keys or access
- Cross-reference: Link to related Secrets for safe combinations or account access
